In contemporary interior design, the artisan serves as a bridge between technical functionality and artistic expression. Laura Niubó’s professional vision focuses on a discipline where interior design and craftsmanship converge to redefine the spaces we inhabit and the way we meet our needs. Her aim is to transform environments overwhelmed by stimuli into peaceful sanctuaries through handcrafted and thoughtfully designed ceramics.

Conceptually, her design approach embraces deliberate asymmetry as a way of challenging established conventions. Her creations move away from industrial rigidity and the ideal of mechanical perfection, celebrating functional uniqueness. Her work is rooted in the honesty of craftsmanship and its power to connect people, acting as a catalyst for building community and creating spaces for dialogue around conscious design.

Her professional motivation stems from the need to maintain a connection with nature. By incorporating organic pieces, she seeks to foster a sense of connection to our origins, traditions, craftsmanship, and our collective, historical, and personal identities. In a society where these identities are increasingly diluted by digital immediacy and disconnection from our surroundings, Niubó’s pieces serve as visual, conceptual, and functional anchors, reminding us of who we are and where we come from. Her creative process is guided by the conscious and responsible use of materials, with a firm commitment against fast consumption and single-use products.
